Skype on the Nokia 808 Pureview

Skype is not available on the store nor can it be installed from m.skype.com. Please help.

If anyone else has trouble installing Skype, I was able to install using Nokia Drop installed on your phone and browser. Just change your selected phone to one that is compatible to Skype for Symbian and click Download on mobile

It works as it did on my C7, so no problem here. IM and voice calls, on the handset and loudspeakers work great. Please add it back to the ovi store.

I read that I should use drop and then Nokia Store etc, I tried with Ovi Store with no sucess. Could you be more specific how achive this, ie to download Skype to N808.

I followed your recommendation, have on my N808 Nokia Drop, changed a phone in Nokia store to C7, searched for Sype for Symbian, funded and got an note, "your phone is set. Complete registration to download, rate and review"  WHat is the next step. my Dop is connected, but I ca not find any sign of a Skype download. Please help!!!

You need to browse for Skype on a desktop browser. If Nokia Drop is available on the browser and you are signed in to Nokia Drop, and Nokia Drop on your phone is running, the button "Download on mobile" will be enabled. Click it and Nokia Drop on your phone will download and install Skype. You can do this trick for other smaller applications, but large ones like games will open the Store application on your phone which would make installation fail because it is not available on the 808 in the first place.
