Skype on BlackBerry 9900

Note to Skype / Microsoft,

I am not going to buy a Nokia / Windows Mobile phone, even if you do not create Skype versions for Blackberry, or iPhone, etc. I will simply find another application to use instead of Skype.

For BB users, it is possible that the next version of the BB op system, BB10 will have enough native support for Android apps that a different version of Skype will not be necessary.

In the meantime, though, yes, this is dissappointing.

I personally bring a second phone with me when travelling to certain countries and insert a local SIM card and forward my calls to it. It is not a perfect solution, but it is very inexpensive.

I have recently purchased a BlackBerry 9900. I was told in the Rogers (the provider in Canada) Store that Skype would work. But this is obviously not true. At first Rogers told me to contact Skype as the issue is Skype's problem. With the annoucement of the new BB10, any chance this could be resolved?

I agree .. i am not going to buy anymore credits from today. Guys pls lets stay together and bring **bleep** skype down. Well good news is that VIBER are working hard on getting the voice chat soon .. cheers!

Right ... so skype/microsoft going down as am guessing .. viber has been available anyways on the bb platfoem but not the voice chat yet. I hate skype now .. man theres no way you can contact first of all and then these stubborn sons of guns think customers are dying to get skype ..
I say in few weeks or months i bet there will be plenty of apps where bb users will be able to be in touch with android and ios users so skype take this .l.

Dear all, yes IMO works, just use the tools given, this mean Black and Skype are not working together,Well you do not need Black, just login "online" with IMO, so if you sit in Grandmother house and ask to use her computer then you do not need to "download" skype, just IMO will do, until !!!! BlackBerry figures out people Want end Need skype standard on the menu instead of some childish programs that are on BB now?

I was a loyal bb costumer for 8 years now and guess I just ordered the iphone 5, I simply can't take it anymore. Being so far behind while everyone around is so far ahead. RIP RIM!
