Skype for Blackberry Playbook

Very disappointing to see skype is not making a PlayBook app. 1 million playbook users and growing and 80 million blackerberry users and growing...that's right 'growing'. Stop reading the Apply dominated media about Blackberry's immenient death and give us a skype app please !

Skype is unarguably the best of the Video Chat apps available. Can we have the same enabled for Blackberry Playbook. We are desparately waiting for Skype to be enabled on Playbook. Request Skype to make it possible at the earliest. I'm sure there are thousands of playbook users out there, eagerly waiting for the skype app capability. Please make it happen.....

Its quiet a shame that small developers can do similiar free things but big skype can handle it...come on I know u can do it better

I got my playbook almost a year ago. Ever since then have I been looking for a Skype app for it, but got disappointed. I'm very happy with the tablet and will never exchange it for another brand, just to get a Skype app.

Please Skype, make me happy and release a Skype app for playbook. Otherwise I will have to look for an alternative for Skype.

Every Playbook user is requesting Skype for the platform...it can't be that difficult.

I have been a Skype customer for a year. I would like to use it on my PlayBook.  Please.

I have been a Skype such subscriber for years and would like to have it on my PlayBook.  Since I don't use my PC and Mac nearly as much as I used to because of my PB, I find myself not using Skype as much either.  I don't know if others find the same, but like others, I will certainly not be giving up my PB for Skype or any other app.

I wonder whether companies like Skype realize that when they turn away PB users, these are former users of other platforms that have chosen PB for whatever reason and do not want to be dictated to, by any company or baseless industry rhetoric.

Hopefully, either Skype will finally decide to provide a PB app, or another service will fill the void just as well, allowing the exodus from Skype to begin.

I am a PlayBook owner and i just updated to PlayBook OS 2.0 I heard there was support for Android apps and Skype is an Android app and I'ts not fair that services like Skype and Netflix don't support the PlayBook. I demand we stop paying and using Skype and Netflix until they make an app for the PlayBook. A Skype app for PlayBook with Video Chat and Facebook compatibility that's what could be great about it. A Netflix app for PlayBook with streaming and queue manager. We don't care about the price even if it is $3.99 or lower/higher. We Just want an app for the PlayBook. So, spread the word to stop using Skype and Netflix until there is an app. We're not fools. We Just really want a Skype and Netflix app for the PlayBook. We also want Skype for BlackBerry 10 when that comes. We still are gonna stop using Skype and Netflix it all starts June 1st, 2012 to whenever they make a real app.

I think RIM would even support them - it would be a big point for the PB.

My wife and I both relying Skype for communication with each other and family I use Skype for work. I purchase Skype credit regularly for international calls and wehave subscriptions on Skype as well.  Now. I just find out that the playbook I am going to rely on the coming years can not use Skype as Skype won't create an app.!!!! Way to go Skype.... Better fix it or loose paying customers...
