Wow, I was browsing thru the comments  and there were Zero reply from Skype. Helloo is there anyone there? When can we have Skype for the BB Playbook?????????????

I tried imo, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with my OS2 bought this March, it just times out after about 5 seconds.

For what it is worth

Using splashdot onBBPB I was able to call echo test call hear the young lady's voice but alas notot my own.

The problem is not with Skype. It is freeking Microsoft that bought Skype. It's not a big issue to change the app into .bar extension it will take the skype programmers like two days to make it. They do not replay because there is no excuse not to make the applet for Blackberry playbook. that is the best ever tablet for every one. some suggested to try hebrew pleading. well here it goes  "בבקשה תוציאו אפליקציה לפלייבוק. או לפחות תתנו תשובה ראויה לשמה בפורום"

Going through my old toys I dusted off My Nokia 800

It still has a custom version of skype that works great

Betcha there are a hell of a lot more Playbooks on line than the Nokia's

Come on Skype I am a paying customer as opposed to just using it for the freebies

Current guess is that there are several million playbooks out in the field

As sales gain traction they make skype for  playbook a much more attractive proposition.

What really ducks that people are expecting it. No worries, just like how dropbox is being childish and box.com came along with 50gb for free for PlayBook owners and an app, OoVoO will hopefully have a PlayBook app. 

Guess what a PlayBook app will be compatible with the new OS 10 that is coming out for the handsets, then we will see how BB owners will drop skype for OoVoO like they have forgotten about us!

I mean seriously, they claim to be a company who supports any and all platforms but not yet an official response here!
