PS VITA - video/camera issues

I am having issues with Skype on my PS VITA.  I have tried making the Skype test call and it fails everytime.  When I attempt to video chat with friends only their picture is displayed even though I have selected the front camera.  I cannot see my friend and my friend cannot see me, however voice calling is fine.

My camera most definitley works outside of the Skype app, so it isnt the hardware, it must be a Skype issue.  I have tried video calling over WiFi and the 3G network and there is no difference.

I cannot be the only one having these issues on the VITA, but I have yet to find anything online relating to PS VITA video calling issues with Skype.

Does anyone have any ideas? Does anyone else use the VITA for Skype? Or possibly know of a solution? Thank you

I have the same problem. I've just ended a call with my friend. I couldn't see him and he couldn't see me. I tried using boh cameras and none worked.

I was using SkyPE on Vita, he was using SkyPE on PC.

Can someone solve this problem?

did you ever resolve this? i have the same issue, no two way video. skype is a pretty shoddy product, i have the same problem on both my motorola xoom and galaxy note. only seems to work on my laptop or ipad
