I've got a frustrating issue on my z10 with Skype. When I go to call a land line and I have finished dialing and I am waiting for the person to pick-up I hear two ringing tones. One is a "skype tone" which sounds like a British ringing sound (ring, ring) and the other is the actual ringing sound that I am expecting to hear for the call I am making (single ring as you get in North America).
Sometimes I can still hear the Skype double ring in the background even after the person on the other end has picked-up!
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I still get this issue.
I have downloaded skype on my new Z10 . Downloading went well , all contacts are there , on line .
till so far ok. But when i make a call , my phone is making normal contact, but then i received the message that "contact is not available" . when i call my contact , he heard one click and saw my miss call. when i call with my laptop i never have any problems, 2 x ringing and connection.
my Z10 has allready the 10.1 software update. any solutions?
Hi, Janarnald, and welcome to the Community,
Thank you for your report. At first read, this sounds like a network problem. What wireless carrier are you using, and at what speed (4G LTE, 3G ...)? Are you experiencing problems connecting to all contacts, or just this one? I am not sure if this is a Skype-to-Skype call, or Skype Out call (using credit or a subscription to cover the cost of the outbound call)?
Questions, questions! Thanks for your patience, and looking forward to your return post.
Update! In my instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service , the blue "Send" button has been replaced with a green Next button; to file a request via e-mail, click "Send."
Online Safety Tip: Do not accept contact invitations from anyone whom you do not know.
