GE 31591 Skype Cordless Telephone

HI just bought  a Skype cordless phone worked well for 2 days.  I got a message that there was an update so I updated my pnone.  Now I cannot save my skype contact please help.

To reset the phone.  Push the "  -  " button above the green flash soft button.  Then push the int button and click it until you scroll to the settings option. 

For some reason my phone stopped allowing me to sign into skype.  I reset my phone through settings.  For some reason it showed "resetting" but wouldn't reset.  I then unhooked my router and re plugged it in and it then allowed me to reset up my skype account and is working.

Hi. Welcome to the club. Nobody yet from SKYPE or GE has either replied with an answer to this problem or should we call it a fault? OK I was offered one for just the P&P costs, how could I say no? I've been with SKYPE since it’s the 1st release. But I never use this phone since it went pear shaped (that’s a brand nobodies used)! Maybe I'd make more calls but I'm not sure what was behind this freebie, maybe GE (are you listening?) needed to off load them, I don't know it's a conundrum. I have a Skype number, Skype rolling account, and you could say I'm a fully signed up member to the Windows family. Steve Ballmer & Co needs to look at the loose ends, like this is one! I've never got my head round the menu, its complex, a bit like the menu! BC

Thanks for your responses.  I have been sent a new phone.  Hope this will be ok.  Had a new request to update software did not accept as this was the reason I lost my contacts etc on my previous phone.  Will keep you updated if I come across any fault on this new phone.
