Dualphone 3088 connection problems

How right you are! Skype has changed something - now any Skype installation earlier than Skype 5.0 will display the same problem! justfreedo

Here in Holland the same. The dual phone worked fine till yesterday. After that day it does not get into skype, just keeps on connecting. I tried to get support, but I was sent away without any help. Just contact the manufacturer, they said, but it must be something skype did, seeing all those other users. SKYPE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. WE DO NOT WANT TO THROW THE DUAL PHONE (DID COST MONEY YOU KNOW) OUT OF THE WINDOW.!!!!!!!!!

I don't care if and what they've changed and why did they do this.

DualPhone, Philips et al  are SKYPE CERTIFIED devices that Skype used to SELL via their OWN ONLINE STORE. Part of the price I paid for for their certificate that the manufacturer had to LICENSE.

They should have contacted all the manufacturers of Skype CERTIFIED devices and informed them about the changes PRIOR TO making them, so that manufacturers could release updated firmware BEFORE the changes were applied.

I don't give a FLYING **** about their changes and their reasons. I want my three DualPhone handsets to work again.  I bought a Skype CERTIFIED product and it HAS TO work.  I also pay Skype a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION that I am now unable to use.

Microsoft came, and - as always - is turning gold to s**t.  Look what they've done to Nokia, now it's apparently time to destroy Skype.  They buy things and destroy them - that's their way to eliminate competition.

P.S.  Guys, PLEASE read other threads.  It is NOT a DualPhone-specific problem. One look at the forums will show you that the same thing has happened to owners of Philips, Netgear, Asus and actually any other Skype phone.

So it is 100% clear that it is a SKYPE problem, period. Don't let Skype support tell you to contact the manufacturer as the manufacturer has nothing to do with it. It is SKYPE who modified their system and made all Skype phones useless.  And it is THEM who has to correct this.

same problem here in France, since yesterday. My Dualphone worked correctly since I bought it on-line from Skype, some years ago. Now it is impossible to login, while on my PC le Skype connection works regularly. Hope that Skype should solve the problem ASAP

Can you all please go to Menu>settings>information (or network- on Phillips) on your standalone phones?

Do you have any disclaimer that says that the software on this phone is owned or licensed from Joltid Limited www.joltid.com ?

If you do, then Skype needs to take care of our connection issues, because they have bought the rights of this software from Joltid in 2009, so technicaly IT IS SKYPEs responsibility, not the manufacturers. (http://blogs.skype.com/en/2009/11/joltid_settlement.html) 

I have connection issue since this morning with my Topcom webt@lker 6000, but (so far) no problems with my other 2 RTX devices...  But strangely, i discovered that this "information" tab has been made unaccessible in these RTX devices, so not to see who "ownes" your phone software...

Please check this and reply here, as we need to force Skype to take responsibility and action on this issue ASAP.

Skype is a master in hiding itself for the customers. What bothers me is that they've created a problem but don't mention it on the website. How many of these phones will be sold world wide? This is a massive problem....

Hi guys. I have the same problem in Italy since yesterday with my dualphone.
This morning, I do not know how it happened, but I could log in; then I turned off and on the phone and the problem occurred again.

Same in USA.  Fix please.  This is my house phone.  My family will think something is wrong if they can't reach me...
