Happy 9th Birthday, Skype

Please join us in celebrating the 9th anniversary of the first public version of Skype released.

I recall signing up for my account 8 1/2 years ago when I was looking for an alternative for in game communication when flying virtual airplanes. I was baffled by Skype's audio quality back then which was superior to all the other available voice communication applications back then. In the meantime this quality got even better and the addition of video calling helped me connect even closer with my friends near and far.

How long have you been using Skype already? Do you remember when you signed up and why?

I tale you what I think is one problem with your help an support you can post thing that easy there . An I would really like it if yall would get that message to stop coming on an telling me that my computer is not running fast  enough an that my protection is turned off . I play online games an when the message shows up it makes my gaming freeze up , so stop it . Please

I do not remember when I sign but I really believe I was amongst the first ones using skype and am still going on...

I wish though you could make a new feature as a birthday package that I could send skype time to friends, I tried through everything but seemingly it is impossible...

I am brand new to Skype and I am really disappointed.  I set up several meetings for work to use Skpe.  I orginally downloaded the app on my Droid.  After downloading it. I come to find out that you cannott use the video.  I should have just called them via my cell phone instead.  I would not have been late to my one on one conference calls.  My next encounter with Skpe seemed to be okay initially.  I downloaded it onto my pc. I was able to call in and connect with a voice and video, however I noted that it disconnected me after 8 minutes and I could not reconnect to my call.  I spent the next 30 minutes trying to get back online and never did complete my discussion. My third attempt was with my boss.  I purchased credits for what I thought was a free download because I didnt want anything to go wrong.  Again, I could not log on and missed my meeting.  Now Skype has me in hot water at work, I cant ask for help from your team because there is no one to call and speak with.  Now you have my money, and after numerous posts and emails, to your website, I walk away feeling empty handed and robbed of my cash.

I have been using Skype for over a year to call friends. I'm not sure what that has to do with my question. I subscribed to a number so others could call me out of country using their cell phones or landlines.

I am not sure, but it seems to me that Skype has about the worst support system in the world. Also, I did not authorize a payment, and yet, your system just decided to charge me, even though I had not clicked the actual PAY button. then no chat service, no phone number to call no nothing. I had no other alternative but to stop payment with Pay Pal. Also, I made an official complaint with PayPal for accepting your inferior and unauthorized actions. this is just crazy.

I am working  in Qatar, I have use  the skype unlimited call to India, not now. Please add for unlimited call to India also, many Indian peoples waiting for this option.
