And welcome to our second edition of “Community News”.
These news updates give you an overview of what has happened in our community in the past weeks. We are looking forward to hear how you like these and what additional topics you like to see covered here.
1. A special month on the Community
Time flies and our Community is already 2 years old. Happy birthday everyone!
A huge thank you to all the users. Some of you have been here since day one, others hopped on board last year and many of you are visiting today for the first time. Thanks so much for being part of our journey! We are excited about what the next year will bring.
And now… Let’s Party!
2. A big milestone - 1m registered users
After the Lithy award recognition, our Community reached another milestone this June - 1 million registrations! That’s right, one million registered users! I’m not surprised at all. There are around 90.000 users joining the Community every month, and together with you, we hope to break a new record soon!
Congrats to our 1millionth user jlb59!
Our primary goal is to provide users with valuable advice and keep the community friendly, informative, appropriate and fun. For that reason we are establishing a new volunteer community moderation program. Help us maintaining a positive, thriving environment for all Skype Community users!
4. Member of the month: Tamim
This time we are highlighting Tamim, who is constantly sharing his knowledge and passion for Skype. Having joined in September 2011 Tamim has always maintained a strong presence in the community. A veteran with already over 27.500 posts and 4450 kudos on his account. Congratulations to Tamim for all of his hard work!
