There is a problem with your microphone

Hey all,

Since a while I experience problems with calling Skype to Skype (at least that is the only one I use). When I call there is no problem, but when the other side answers it, Skype shuts down the call and says "Er is een probleem met je microfoon", which is in English; "There is a problem with your microphone".

But a weak before I got this error, Skype worked just fine. And the weird thing is, that I did not change the settings or took another headphone.

I use Windows 8 and the Microsoft LX-3000

Can someone help me?

Peter

If you are using the screen sharing option to share the played videos with your friends, then you should know that only the image part is transmitted, and not the audio. For the audio to be transmitted, you would have to set your audio device to Stereo Mixer option. Not all audio cards have this option.

Re: There is a problem with your microphone

I was able to turn on microphone and webcam in Win 8.1 settings and now I can transmit audio but no video. Using Logitech C525 webcam. When I launch webcam I can see myself in video screen. I can record and playback video so camera is working. I notice that when I do this a light on camera is lit. However when I use with Skype other party can hear audio only and light on camera is not lit.
