setting up mic and headphones on windows 8

HI

I bought a new laptop HP with windows 8. I downloaded the Skype App but can't test my headphones and mic. As I record calls to create podcasts, I need to use the mic and headphones to get clear sound. Anyone know where the 'tools' menu has gone or how I set up the mic etc?

Thanks

Run Skype >> Win + C >> Settings >> Options

Re: setting up mic and headphones on windows 8

On my WIndows 8 Skype app, it doesn't show me the headphones menu. My headphones work fine with other apps. But I can't select headphone option in the settings.
