I have taken delivery of new Surface RT, and installed all available updates, including Skype from the windows app store.
No matter what platform I call - e.g Surface to PC, Surface to landline or Surface to Mac, the call will ring the other end and then immediately disconnect.
I am able to use Skype perfectly on my desktop and iPhone, but this Surface version is utterly unusable. Please advise urgently when you will be releasing a version of your product for the Surface that actually works.
Please answer all of the following questions in your very next reply:
Which version of Skype do you use?
Run Skype >> WinKey + C >> Settings >> About.
Were you able to use Skype without any issues earlier?
What’s the recent change that you made to your computer after which this issue has started to occur?
What is the type of internet connection you are using?
Do you have any security software installed on the computer?
Did a Free-trial antivirus come preinstalled on the computer when you bought it?
Do you have any other p2p (BiTtorrent, Team Viewer) software installed on the computer?
Do you have Hamachi LogMeIn installed?
thank you for your email. After uninstalling and reinstalling several times this is now working. Seems to be a hang over issue with merging the skype account and the Outlook account.
You are very welcome and thank you for your feedback.
