failed test video: skype-2.2.0.35-fc10.i586; 2.6.35.14-103.fc14.i686.PAE with bt878

The "test video" failed with skype 2.2.0.35 version on my Fedora 14 i386 installation:

> uname -a
Linux succubus.alderwood.net 2.6.35.14-103.fc14.i686.PAE #1 SMP Thu Oct 27 15:58:03 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

> rpm -q skype
skype-2.2.0.35-fc10.i586

I have a video capture card, bt878(hauppauge, winTv).  The device is properly identified by skype.  It just gets no video when tested.  I know the capture card is working, because I can see the video when testd with "xawtv."  Does anyone have any success with a similar configuration?

I had a previous version of skype (I didn't remember the version).  It ran fine with a previous Fedora 12 installation on the same box.  I guess something changed with this version.  Is the previous version available somewhere?  I'd like to give it try, while waiting for updates.

Thank!

I found and install the previous version: skype-2.1.0.81-fc10.i586.  The video works now.  So, something is different about the 2.2.
