Hi guys
recently I have notied that my green status icon doesn't automatically change to Away status (Orange) after 10 mins.
I have checked the settings and it is set up to change after 10 mins but it stays green even if Im away from the computer for 10 hours.
Any suggestions?
Have had the same problem for the last two years ...

Using 10.6.8 atm. Have had the same problem for the last two years ... actually today I tried changing it from 2 minutes and saw that the new setting did not stick (after quitting and reopening), which I thought might have had something to do with wrong permissions somewhere.
I then changed all files that were not mine:
sudo find . ! -user my-username -exec chown my-username {} \;
After that, the setting did stick, but still the away sign never comes on. Could wait for three days without anything happening. Simply setting Away works, though.

You must think that Skype has programmers that can make their product work. My Skype status won't stay as I set it. It will arbitrarily change. Don't know who's idea it was to replace Messenger with Skype, but on the video calls it looks like the quality of Skype is a far cry from what Messenger could do with the same bandwidth. Many other things that could be done with Messenger are missing from Skype. Looks like another case of forced product switch to a leser product. Thanks M$ for yet another pig in a poke!
