I have Skype on A Mac. Connected to the internet through my home cable wireless router. Until last week Skype worked fine. Now it tells me I am offline. When I try to go online I get a message about 'your current wi-fi network does not support Skype. Tip. Skype does not work with private or closed networks." If I disable the wi-fi network, then I am off-line.

If you are you might want to try disabling "Skype WiFi" via Skype's preferences.
I recommend a search for your problem and to download the latest Skype.
To get the most out of Skype I recommend Skype Premium.

I am having the same difficulty with skype. I have seen suggestions of going to 'tools' or 'preferences' to logout of wifi....or something. I cannot find 'tools'! I cannot find 'preferences'! My only phone is skype, and it hasn't worked in over a day. I am at my wits end! Can you help me?
