just signed up and cannot find contact list to call

A little more information is needed to be able to offer some help to you.   For starters, what type device?  Windows PC?  Mac?  Mobile device?

I know this particular forum isn't device specific but I'm a Windows kind of guy and the truth is, I've never even seen the Skype for Mac user interface.

However, this must be the same for the Mac as for Windows...you have to actually install the Skype program, then start it, then signin, to begin using Skype.  Signing in to your account on skype.com won't do the trick.

IF that doesn't help, why don't you browse through the Mac forum, and if you don't find an answer there, start a new thread with your question?

I just joined Skype using my new I pad2. It says I can make free video calls with my other Skype friends, but there is no way on that page to do so. I can't even find my friends, and I am logged on, what gives?

First, you must have contacts in order to call them.  Assuming you have added contacts (which you can do by clicking on the '+' symbol at the top right edge of the Skype screen on the iPad, then searching for them), all that's necessary is for you to click on a contact and then call.

If I've misunderstood the nature of the problem, please return to this forum and start a new thread rather than camping on this one.  If I can't assist, it's likely that someone else will be helpful.

I also just signed up for skype using a macbook pro and have been unable to add contacts as there is no toolbar present on the skype homepage.  Can anyone tell me how to add the skype toolbar so that I can add contacts?

Hi Robert,

I am interested in your problem.  You need help and state you have asked three times.  Yet when mkichaa suggested some action you seemed to ignore it and continued to ask for help. 

I do not have an iPad so was not sure how to add contacts to that mobile device.  I did however go to Skype's support pages and did a search on "Skype for iPad" and it came up with a number of pages to help with running Skype on an iPad.

My questions to you would be did you read those pages? and did they work?

I believe Skype has problems keeping their help pages current, so I would need to know from a user like you if their iPad pages accurately reflect the software on an iPad 2.

In the sidebar, click on Contacts rather than Skype Home.  On that page, between the stylized icon of a telephone and the search box you should see a '+' symbol.  Click on it, then select Add Contact.
