I recently upgraded my Skype (to 5.7.0.1037) and have found that I cannot turn the camera on or off without being on a call. This past weekend I wanted to keep the video off and had to turn it off after the call had already begun, today I wanted to have the camera on but even during the call could not turn it on. I have searched through the support pages, done all the troubleshooting I can find, but still I cannot turn the camera on. The videocamera icon is missing from my screen (I have an icon for the microphone, one to end the call, and one to add people etc., but nothing else). Even in the Preferences > Audio/Video I do not have the option to change the camera (the Camera option is blank and will not let me change it). My camera/webcam is working fine, just not in Skype.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
