Skype keeps crashing - this is ridiculous

Skype video calls crashing for about 2 weeks. Does anyone know what is going on? Still not corrected by skype?

Tried older versions, cleaning caches, updating OSX 10.6.8, nuthin.

You all are infected by a mac trojan

It hides itself in an invisible file inside your /Users/Shared folder

Look at the crashlog for a /Users/Shared string and post the result here

I've started upMacPilot and enabled Finder to show hidden files and folders. I don't know what I'm looking for here…

For me it was:

~/.MACOSX/environment.plist

and

/Users/Shared/.libauto.dylib

Deleting those and restarting my Mac seemed to fix things, and now Skype works again.

It's the same with me, it started a while ago for no particular reason, one day when it opened up skype it crashed upon opening the app and ever since its been crashing upon open, its been since last year

Here is the fix that worked for me: Show hidden files in finder (http ://osxdaily.com/2009/02/25/show-hidden-files-in-os-x/) then look for the Skype folder under users, (your username), library, application support. Trash that skype folder and try restarting Skype.
