Skype 5.3.59.1093 does not work with Logitec C910

Hi, I have Skype 5.3.59.1093 on a macbook OS 10.6.4

I bougt a Logitec C910 because it said that it was licensed for Skype and I wanted better quality because I use Skype professionaly. Now everytime I try to use the C910 camera Skype quits. There is no direct support and I would be very grateful if I can find help here.
