Self image too small...

Prior to the latest uograde for the MAC I was able to drag the corner of my self image (being sent to my contact) and make it larger. NOW the image is about 1 inch by 1/2 inch and impossible to see (of myself) and trying to drag a corner is not possible anymore - the pointer does not change to a double ended arrow to drag the video pciture any larger. I've seen numerous comments with this same problem. I have the latest MAC version. 2/7/2012

Thanks for any help with this issue. AND I have no idea how to get this issue to the developers of SKYPE it seems nearly impossible to find a method to contact their tech team.

Re: Self image too small...

I'm a Windows guy but I just stumbled on your post.  Let me mention that in the latest Windows version of Skype, if you click on your picture-in-picture once, it toggles between normal size and the very small size it sounds like you're experiencing.

Try clicking on your PIP and see if that makes a change.

If not...I hope a Mac user who knows the answer will come along soon.

Re: Self image too small...

I mean the self image when I am connected in a conversation. The tiny image goes to the lower right had corner of my screen and I can't drag it anywrhere else - it resorts to going back to the lower right and very small I can't see if I need to cahnge my pic.

Re: Self image too small...

Yes, that's what I was talking about too...your self image, or picture-in-picture as I usually heard it called.

Did you try clicking on it to see if that changes it's size and let's you relocated it to ther corners of the screen?

If that doesn't work, as I said earlier, you'll have to hope a Mac guy comes along with an answer that does work.

Re: Self image too small...

ARH! I shouldn't have updated... It was FINE before... geez looeez... now even after clicking on the PIP to make it a BIGGER postage stamp you still can't see the room/who's in the shot... I swear folks just sit around and think about ways to "fix" things that worked fine before... and it's a PAIN that you can't move it to anywhere other than a corner! What was the point of taking away my options/control?

Re: Self image too small...

I agree.  I have searched and searched for a way to download the previous version.  Wish I had set a restore point before downloading this version.  Skype . . . PLEASE fix this!!  We should be able to both adjust the size of the window that shows us during a call AND be able to move the window to wherever we want on the screen (not have it automatically lock to a corner)!!!!

Re: Self image too small...

YES. I hate this new version of Skype! I have a MacBook Pro with a rather large screen, and my self image seems microscopic compared to everything else. It's so frustratring, I only ever want to use iChat now...

Plus, what's with the tacky light blue/black gradient?

I want the beta version back :[

I agree, I liked the floating self image and the ability to resize at my option. Fix this skype.
