Idenityfing unknown contacts in contact list

Hi,

I just upgraded my skype to 5.7.0.1037 on my mac machine, now I can see a list of unknown contacts under my contacts. They are for sure the ones that I do not know. Can you please tell my how they got added to my contact list. They are numerous.

Hi,

Your Mac Address Book contacts, I guess.

Go to Skype preferences >>> General

and there, untick "Show Address Book contacts" checkbox.

No luck. I tried to uncheck that option but the unknown contacts are still showing up there in my list. Note that I event tried by restarting my skype.

nopes... They are not my facebook contacts as well. Infact they are they are people I do not know. I noticed that I have two skype accounts, this happens only with one account. Other works fine.

Then, maybe someone else has sent his contacts list to you.
