Completely agree. The UI has many bugs that defy UI guidelines. In the contacts list, for example, the "status" column's minimum width is far too long, while the "name" column is way too short. So when I try to make the window as compact as possible, 1/2 of window real estate is used up by the status column (mostly white background). Unacceptable design, in my opinion, but they don't seem to give a rat's buttocks.

Hello is anyone listening to us here. You want us to purchase Skype and pay for it but can't use it. Sure take my money, that part seems to work just fine.

Just as Skype for Mac introduces Facebook integration, Facebook turns around and creates its own instant messenger.

It appears to consist of a simple contacts list, with separate pop-out floating window containing tabbed chats.

Now, wouldn't that be a nice thing to have in Skype for Mac.  Wait, what...???

Absolutely! This is horrible, bulky and completely UNmac UI of all versions.  I, for ex, prefer to keep the contacts monitor, instead of the "Skype" main window, since it takes so much space, the icons are HUGE, it's just not right...

2.8 Interface is waaay better. No questions about it!

I'm going to commit suicide and blame Skype.  I dunno, would that maybe get their attention?  It's almost worth sacrificing my life for the satisfaction of all the disgusted users out there.  

I feel physical discomfort every time I launch Skype for Mac.  I don't have this problem when I use their Windows program.  Why, please, why skype, why Tony Bates have you refused to fix this toxic interface?

lol. I haven't had skype on my mac in months. Every time an update or beta comes out I look for info on whether the UI was fixed.

Please Skype, get rid of this horrific UI in 5.x. I'm back to 2.8 for now.

I just tried the new 5.6 used it for 10 mins, then found I cannot disable the video by default, and I can't make the default action when double clicking to be 'start chat'.
