PC to Mac migration

Hi,

I cannot use my older PC skype name and contacts on my new Mac with Skype app just downloaded. The install process "forced" me to creat a new account I don't really want to use. 

How can I sign in with my older Skype name and retrieve my contacts, chat history, picture, profile and so forth?

I´ve tried all your FAQ's, and I just don't get it right.

I've never even seen the Mac Skype UI but I can tell you how it works on the Windows version and maybe it's the same with the Mac.

On the Windows version, on the Skype menu you'd click on Skype > Sign Out.  That would pop-up a login window where you could enter your old Skype name and password.  See if that works for you.

In the mean time, let me suggest this thread be moved to the Mac forum.

Thanks, but still cannot make it work.

The problem is that the latest Mac version I just downloaded doesnot come with the Sign Out option in the menu, as it does appear on the Windows version. The only option is to Quit the app.

All I can see is that right after you launch the Skype app, the login window appears, it is auto-filled in a fraction of a second with the unwanted Skype name and password, and then there's no way I can signout or modify the login script.

Any other suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Though didn't get a direct answer, I could solve it using a similar problem solution in the chat under the name "Can't get my friends account off my Imac"
