Either I am going mad or something is not right. When I get calls that are not answered they are not going to voicemail and I cannot find where the option is to set the timeout value. I was sure that in previous versions you could set calls to go to voicemail after a certain period of time.
Please advise. Thanks.

When I select option 4 my phone will ring and if not answered within the number of seconds set under option 3 then it will divert to voicemail.
So Option 4 has to be selected even though it will ring first.
Not a great UI as I would have read this that all calls would go to voicemail and would not ring.
Anyway prob solved.

I have the same issue only I am only using 10.4.11 mac since my system is old and have not upgraded yet..I do not see any of the option eg..send to voicemail..I only have 3 option settings: 1. Calling (auto answer etc) 2.Forward unanswered calls 3.Voicemail (send unanswered calls to voicemail).
The clicked the box under send unanswered calls to voicemail...BUT that did not work!!!

I have found that — with the last update I had from Skype — occasionally changes on their system have led to failures in how things are operating. I can't say this is the issue. When I check to see that I have the most current version of Skype, it says I do, and I only have a 5.6 variant... is the 5.7 a Beta? We are talking the Mac version right?
I have had failures in how the send to Voicemail and the Forward Calls have worked — the calls are not going to my computer first. This most often is in conjunction with calls to my Skype In Phone number. People can call from computer to computer, but calls from telephone to computer (via my Skype Number) get forwarded without getting to my computer.

So in option to for forward calls, try putting a timeout value but no phone numbers and then selecting option 3 and see what that does.

I gave the aforementioned solution a shot, but no joy. Voicemail rings the computer, then goes directly to voicemail... no ringing the landline. In older editions of Skye, there were checkboxes instead of radio buttons and it allows this; the API suggests all kinds of interesting call processing should be possible...but in practice, none of it seems to work quite right.
As a user, I'd much rather see these basics fixed so they work than get anotherfarcebook or twitturd integration feature. It's the phone part not working right that will make me not pay for another year of Skype.

Thank you! I had the same issue on 5.7.1130 on Mac os 10.5.8 and your solution fixed it.
Totally not-intuitive, Skip!

I have setup an online number, and despite picking the option 4, I dont seem to have calls from land lines diverted to voice mail. I can answer, and that works, but leaving a message fails. The land line just keeps on ringing, and ringing.... Very frustrating, because this is probably the main reason for the online # for me. Help!

To "Receive Normally" would be TO GO TO ####### VOICEMAIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Instead, you have it say "Go to voicemail" which suggests that calls WILL NOT RING AND JUST GO TO VOICEMAIL ![]()
Plus, I hate your latest version !!!!! - the red "hang-up" button vanishes unless the mouse is hovered over the main window - I SPENT THREE ####### MINUTES TRYING TO HANG UP LIKE AN OLD PENSIONER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I said it before and I'll say it again, Skype is a *p h o n e*, NOT A PORTAL TO ANOTHER DIMENSION - KEEP IT SIMPLE FOR ####'S SAKE!!!!!!
I've given up being polite with you because these issues I'm talking about are THREE YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!! ![]()
