Discovered that I can Skype video call from computer to computer (Mac to Mac) OR from phone to phone (Android to Android), but when trying to Video Skype from Android to Mac, video doesn't work. Is there something keeping Android to Mac video calls from connecting? Perhaps some of the problems described above are people trying to phone-to-computer Skype?

Before some days my skype video call worked correct but I tried to make a skype video call yesterday my video and other side video loading but doesn't work

video option in call menu is disabled

Very frustrated. Just got a Macbook Air for Christmas and can't get the video to work on Skype. I can see and hear who I am talking to and they can hear me, but they can't see me. When I do push the video button very rarely will it respond and if it does I just get a black box with my video trying to load. My Facetime video works on everything else. Help Skype!! I'd like my in-laws to be able to see my kids, not just hear them!!

Thanks for the tip.....Just out of the blue I had the same problem..They can hear and see me but my screen is black. It works if I go to full screen...Very strange!!

Same problem! Tried closing app, restarting, and even rebooting (since another person said restarting the app helped). None of this worked. I am on Mac OSX v 10.6.8, and using the latest Skype 5.3.60.1093. I'm stumped.

Same problem here with a new MacBook Pro. Works with the iPhone though.

Does anyone know if Skype, Inc. is fixing the problem?

I dont think Skype reads their own forum, coz i have now installed Skype 5.5 and it problem still persists.

I think that Skype inc is forgetting the Mac users, cos not only it works on PC, but PC users also have group video calls for free. Mac users has to pay.
