Microphone adjustment

Please tell me there is something I can do to stop the automatic volume adjustment for the internal microphone.

I've looked, and I've seen solutions, but nothing that works for the current version of Skype using Lion as there is no "Skype" file in the "Application Support" folder.

I change the volume, but then sloowly it starts moving again. Is there a simple solution? *crosses fingers*

i am having the exact same problem. my computer is in a noisy room and everytime i try to turn down the input it keeps coming back up. WE NEED A FIX
