I'm still using Skype 2.8 for Mac, not planning to switch to 5.x any time soon!

I read that I can give feedback here, so here's my 2 cents:

I still passionately hate the user interface for Skype 5.x for Mac. I am so used to having a small contact list in the corner of my window open at all times, then having multiple text chats open and possibly a video chat and text chat at the same time. All this is very annoying or impractical in the 5.x user interface.

I'm still hoping you could go back and release a 2.9 with recent video codecs and bug fixes.

Agreed on all points.

I'm a business user that works with a team via Skype everyday. For us it's critical to be able to easily switch between open chat windows and to access a condensed contacts list. The functionality of Skype 5.x is not as fluid as 2.8 making it unusable for us.

I had a call with the product manager for Skype to inform him of our concerns when 5.x was released however there's no evidence of change moving forward. I would be happy to offer support for this again if the Skype team are open to suggestions.

Agree with Mahrain on a 2.9 release with recent video codecs and bug fixes.

Skype 5.x really is unusable for us.
