I've just installed 64-bit Skype 4.0 for Linux under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and I can Skype out to UK land-line numbers, but my credit balance is display3ed as £0.0 even though when checking online my credit is £11.59. There are red 'no entry' icons on the items in the display credit dialogue on my local Skype client. I've just upgraded from the version 2 Skype in the Ubuntu partner repository. Credit balance display worked correctly in the version.

Just discovered that the Skype credit balance is only updated after you make a paid-for call, so if you've upgraded the Skype client and not yet made a paid-for Skype-out call, your credit balance is displayed as zero even if you do have credit. I think this is a bug, not a feature!
Tony.

I have the same problem under Ubuntu 64-bit with the latest Skype from the repositories (4.0.0.
. The credit shows as $0.00 upon install, even after login, then updates during a paid call.
