Cam changes for normal to widescreen randomly every so often for no reason

Some my say it zooms.. butit goes between the two every few minutes... its not the mac as it only started doing this when the skype software was updated not before... i dont know how to fix it, i've looked through settings and im lost.. Also, on the new mac skype, cant you make your own cam image as big or small as you want... youre limited to two stupid sizes???

Can i get the old mac skype back???

just found out why. when you are video chatting on widescreen you are video chatting in HD. yeah its kinda annoying since I like widescreen better. just make sure your lighting and internet settings are good then.
