Skype status problems with update

Since upgrading to Skype 5.7.60.1037 (Mac) I can no longer select my status as online, even though I am online. I can select Away and Do Not Disturb without any problem, but no online. I've tried the menubar and Skype itself, but nothing changes it.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm running a MacBook Pro, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, Mac OS X 10.7.3.

Ihave subscribed & I can't make Calles. way your system is so bad working.I don't like to go to support every time i like to make a call to my kids. I paid for 3 month!!!

You might remove Skype preferences files (com.skype.skype.plist)

As they are 2 Skype preferences files, be sure to remove the 2 !

-  /Library/Preferences >>> com.skype.skype.plist

-  ~/Library/Preferences >>> com.skype.skype.plist

Similar thing for me - it appears that I am online, but none of my contacts are and they cannot contact me - I appear offline. Skype what have you done!

Deleted both. Rebooted. Emptied trash. Started Skype. Same problem.

Tried iPhone and I can set status to ONLINE there, so it isn't my account. It's a problem with Skype (5.7.60.1037) and Mac OS X 10.7.3 with a Macbook Pro, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 machine. Firewall is ON, but I also turned it off with no difference.

Well, well, well,

-  Quit Skype

-  Go to Home ~/Library/Application Support

-  Remove the entire Skype folder

Be warned however that so doing, your chat and call history will be lost !!!

-  Restart your Mac

-  Relaunch Skype

Issue **should** be solved.
