Offline messages to a group

I know Skype still doesn't have an offline messaging system, but the question is following. 

If I have a group of Skype users (A-me, B,C and D). If I send an offline message it is pending until me and somebody (let's say person B) from the group are online simultaneously. After that I go offline and what happens? When will C and D receive my message? 

1. when I and each of them (C and D) are online simultaneously OR 

2. since the person B received the message, if they will be online together with C and D they will receive my group message through person B?

After having set up an experiment, it turned out that the message reaches the rest of the group through those who are online. It's not necessary for the initial sender to be online with all the receivers.
