Your help needed with contacts issues [ Edited ]

Hi all,

We would like to start collecting logs for two different issues which have been reported by you so that we can investigate and resolve them. The issues we are investigating are:

• I have merged my Skype and Microsoft accounts but my Messenger contacts are not showing up in Skype at all
• I have merged my Skype and Microsoft accounts but my Messenger contacts are all showing as offline even when I know they are online

In order to create the files please follow these steps on Skype logging.

Once you have created the log files please upload them in this thread by creating a ZIP archive out of the log files you created previously. You can do so by right-clicking the log files and selecting “Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder” from the context menu. Attach the ZIP file you created to a reply in this thread. To attach a file, click Choose File in the Attachments box below your reply.

When you send us your log files please answer these questions to help our investigation:

1. Please indicate which issue you are experiencing:

   My Messenger contacts are not showing up in Skype at all / My Messenger contacts all show as offline

2. Which version number of Skype are you using? If you need help answering this please read What version of Skype am I using on my computer?
3. Have you merged a Skype and a Microsoft account? The steps to merging a Skype and Microsoft account are described in How do I sign in to Skype for Windows desktop with my Microsoft account?
4. Have you signed in to Skype using your Microsoft account? In order to talk to your Messenger contacts you must use your Microsoft account to sign in to Skype

I have a slight variant of this issue:

1: Only my online Messenger/WLM contacts are shown. Both online and offline Skype contacts are visible with no filters active in the "All" list. See my other post with detailed experience.

2: v6.0.0.126 (not v6.0.72.126)

3: Yes, I have merged my WLM and Skype accounts about 27 hours ago.

4: Yes, I logged in to Skype with my Microsoft Account to also see my WLM contacts. Skype log-in only shows Skype contacts.

I'm an IT professional so I have experience with troubleshooting. Unfortunately I'm out of time for today and have to prepare for a weekend trip. So you will have to way a few days for a zipped debug log.

3 days ago everything was working fine after merging however, as the Skype app didn't show the msn contacts yet, I kept using an msn app for that. After (another) Skype app crash I decided to log in to my msn app only to find a "blocked" symbol next to all contacts. 

I unblocked them all and then deleted my cache. After logging in again (Mercury Messenger (Android)), I found that all my contacts were gone. I botted up my pc to check on msn AND Skype and yes, on both my msn contacts had disappeared. Via the "contacts" section in Hotmail I managed to restore all of them back in my contact list.

Now, when I log in to any MSN program, app or what ever, my contacts still don't show up. Logging into Skype does show my contacts, but they all show offline. I know they're online, and I've asked them but they see me as offline as well.

Yes, using only the Skype login didn't show my contacts at all at first. After restoring them, it does.

EDIT; Ehh... I have no attachments box?

i have similar problem, when i access into skype by my msn account, skype contact are not listed, i can see just msn contact. skype say that both profile are merged but seems not like this. my skype version is 6.0.0.126 it was working originally then problem started.

Dear 

i have attached the log file, made the following steps :

1 open loggin on.reg

2 open skype

3 access into skype with msn account

Problem : i can see only msn contacts not skype contact

4 logoff from skype

5 click on loggin off.reg

6 find log file into the folder that is attached here
