I recently combined my Microsoft Account / Windows Live Messenger account with Skype version 6.0. So, now I logon to Skype with my Microsoft Account.
I should also be able to sign in to community.skype.com with my Microsoft Account. Based on my experience so far, I need to use my old Skype Account. That does not make sense to me, since I use my MS Account (old "Live" Account) to sign in to Skype itself. Also, how will people who convert from Windows Live Messenger to Skype logon to Community if they do not have an old Skype Account ? Thanks.
Please we beg to have a button to login using Microsoft Account not only on Skype.com but in the Skype community as well also, would be greatly appreciated so the site remember us in order not to enter our credentials or press Microsoft account to login each time.
Make your site a bit more intelligent.
I see that we can now Logon to Skype Community with our Microsoft Account.
I tried using my Microsoft Account (which is already merged with a Skype Account).
The community system asked for a Community Name and email address.
Why would you ask me that ?
I already have that set up with my "old" Skype Account.
It feels like Skype does not realize that I am one person and my old Skype Account and my old Microsoft Account are just two ways to use the SAME Skype system.
I typed in my "old" Community information and it said --already used---.
I know that --- because it is me.
If these two systems were owned and operated by two different companies that were competitors, I might see this logic.
But since Microsoft owns both the "Microsoft Account" and "Skype" -- it should feel like one system to me.
For the entire "combine Messenger and Skype" project -- It just feels like way too many "design decisions" have not been considered.
Hope it gets cleaned up soon,...
especially since you are "pushing" for quick conversion.
