As you know, we’re working hard to ensure migration from Messenger to Skype the best experience possible.
Our engineers have made some additional changes to ensure that Messenger users moving to Skype will be able to seamlessly access their Messenger buddies. If you are experiencing difficulty accessing your Messenger buddies please sign out of Skype completely and sign back in with your Microsoft account.
If you still don't see your Messenger contacts, please that you are not hiding offline contacts? Check the menu "Contacts -> Hide Contacts Who" and ensure there's no checkmark in front of the menu item "Are Offline".
If you suspect to have lost Messenger contacts, please check:
- You are using the correct Microsoft account
- That they are shown in your Microsoft account web contact list here:
- Open your MSN web page profile at http://profile.live.com
- Click the drop down next to "Profile", select "People"
- Click the "Manage" drop down, select "Restore deleted contacts", you should see all your previous contacts, select all (or the ones you want back) and press "Restore"
If you experience any further issues, please continue to engage with us here in the Skype Support Network Community. We appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for your reports about not seeing your Windows Live Messenger contacts / seeing an empty contact list for the "Messenger" group in Skype when logging in with your merged Microsoft account or just using your Microsoft account to sign in.
Currently only a subset of Microsoft Account users on Skype are affected by this.
Possible temporary workaround: Open your MSN web page profile at http://profile.live.com Click the drop down next to "Profile", select "People" Click the "Manage" drop down, select "Restore deleted contacts", you should see all your previous contacts, select all (or the ones you want back) and press "Restore"
We're really sorry if your Messenger contacts are still not showing in Skype after you've followed these instructions. We are working hard to identify and fix the underlying problem.
I recommend to download the latest Skype and search first.
To get the most out of Skype I recommend Skype Premium.

As Title Explained using 184.108.40.206, no messenger contacts, signed in with hotmail, still nothing works...
It didn't tell me to port my Contacts in
So, here's what i have.
I use skype at work, and at home
I have merged my accounts
I don't see my Windows Live contacts at work
but at home it works like a charm
The only difference between those places is that, at work skype was using too much CPU and I followed a post here saying that I should delete Skype's folder at
after that, no more Windows Live contacts here(i already tried re-installing skype)
I can't see my live messenger contact list on skype when i signed in via my microsoft live messenger email (hotmail)... But i can see them on http://mail.live.com/default.aspx?rru=contacts yes there is full of my live messenger contact list... but why are they not in skype.??
