Merge with wrong account

You can now unlink/unmerge your Microsoft account yourself via the web profile page here: https://secure.skype.com/portal/profile

Just follow the "Unlink" link there.

It happened to me too, but the best thing I did to fix it is just did a system restore and made it like my Windows Live Messenger and Skype never merged. Then when Mirosoft fixes the issue we will not have to worry until then.  See problem fixed.

So I did this and still my accounts are merged and I try going to changing settings on the account and it says they are disconnected... This is very frustrating. I've double checked and my profile says they aren't link but the program on the computer says they are linked

GO TO : https://secure.skype.com/portal/profile

LOGIN and you'll direct to :

Account information.

And you'll noticed "MICROSOFT ACCOUNT" just click UNLINK .
Follow the agreements and click CONTINUE.

And there you are - "Your Microsoft account has been unlinked from your Skype account."

Now, login to SKYPE MESSENGER. skype will ask 2 questions there, which is "to create skype's account" or "to sign in with skype account" , in case just click "I'm new to skype" and UNTICK by email (make sure leave it all unticked), and click NEXT, you'll move to webcam sounds&webcam section, click next again and VOILA~ there you are , check your friendlist to make sure you're only in SKYPE MESSENGER, without LINKED to SKYPE™

This is [edited for inappropriate language]. Talk about a [edited for inappropriate language] on Microsofts part. I am now using NEITHER because 1. I cant find regular MSN on my work laptop anymore. 2. Everyone else uses MSN at work who was smart enough not to jump on this Skype / MSN grenade.
