Email notification of a Hotmail Account in Skype

One of the things that I use frequently is the email notification in Windows Live Messenger. There will be something similar when Skype takes over THE messenger...????

Just want to add my voice - this is really the only reason I had MSN messenger - will this be coming to Skype now? Or a separate application for notifications?

Me too. The only reason I used MSN Messenger was the email notification. The only reason. I really hope you will do something about that.

I provide computer support for private customers and I can tell this feature is highly demanded because a lot people who use live messenger in NL are really used to the program. Especially people with autism or other disablities should see the same features when they are forced to use skype.

I wrote Skype asking specifically WHEN they'd have this feature up and running and they responded with a form letter saying they had no idea when. I think the more people that write them directly, the better, to get this problem moved to the top of the pile. Here's their address if you'd like it - contactus@skype.net.
