Wrong architecture 'i386'

[ Edited ]

Whenever I try to download Skype, the Ubuntu Software Center gives me the message:

"Wrong architecture 'i386'"  and no more information and nothing further happens.
What does that mean and what can I do now?

Would be nice, if you can help me.

You need to install multiarch support for your linux distro. Not sure how to do that manually, it usually comes when you run Ubuntu Software Update.

EDIT:

Run this in the terminal:

sudo apt-get install multiarch-support
