I spent $90 on an offer listed in the Skype Shop for a GE 31591GE1 Digital cordless Expandable telephone. The order is supposed to be fulfilled by Skype's "partner" eBuyNow. Apparently the company is a scammer. They are suggesting manufacturer delays will cause them not to deliver my phone until well over a month after the order; I think they are planning to delay it past the 45 day limit for payment dispute via PayPal so they can just pocket the money. I can't find anywhere else on the Skype site to complain about this so I'm posting here. Skype needs to find a new partner if they plan to offer merchandise. I should have bought from a reputable company like Amazon.

Dear cwgregory,
Please be assured that once your GE Phone is shipped to you, you are covered by a 1 year warranty. Regardless of whether or not you can dispute a charge in Paypal if you decide you are not happy with the product, you have 14 days after receiving it to decide if you want to keep it or return it for a refund.
For any support issues, please submit a support ticket at http://www.ebuynow.info/en/contact/ and the eBuyNow support team will handle your needs quickly.
Best regards,

You are assuming it ever comes at all. I ordered it on April 9, now they are saying they will have it in stock on May 9? That is ridiculous. We are switching to Skype for all our long distance needs and right now we don't have a way to make the calls. This is totally unacceptable and the offer was misleading.

I am not affiliated with Skype nor ebuynow. I am a user.
As a matter of fact, I want to buy another unit but NOBODY is selling them. What's up with that? Amazon has it listed as "currently unavailable" and skype shows the unit but there is no way to actually place the order. How can I get this phone?

It is somewhat reassuring to know yours took a long time, but was good once you got it. I've been corresponding with ebuynow via the paypal resolution center, and they are promising shipment when they receive their units on the 8th. Since the 9th is my last day to be able to upgrade my PayPal complaint to an actual claim, that's cutting it a bit close...

My phone finally arrived, and I think I like it a lot. I'll know better once ebuynow gets me my subscription voucher! This order has been one problem after another...

I am having the same issue with my order. I have not waited a month yet. But still they promise delivery in 7-10 business days and there is no way to contact them to find out the status. I ordered mine July 4 and it is now 12 business days and counting. Thought I should post this so Skype knows there is a problem. Did send an email to Ebuynow.com to the address about asking what is the status today. We will see.
