GE Dect 6.0 Receives calls but can't make out bound Calls

HELP!!!!

On my new GE Dect Cordless phone I am able to receive calls however when I try to make a call out it does not work? 

Does anyone have any suggestions??

If you are referring to making calls to real phone numbers please ensure you put the country code in front of the number i.e. +1 for USA , +44 for UK
