Freetalk adapter - stop working

My Freetalk adapter stop working.

I've tried to reset it but it doesn't work.

When I plug it IN I get red lihgt -- green flashing for about 60sed and red again.

It seems to me it is stuck in some kind of limbo mode.

The adapter obtains IP address on my system but I can not access it.

Any suggestions?

Do I need Windows to connecto to the adapter interrface? (I'm using Linux)

Dear syscon,

I think eBuyNow Support are already troubleshooting with you on their support center. Please find part of their answer pasted here:

Let's try resetting your network IP addresses. Disconnect your Modem, Router, Computer, Freetalk Connect Me; wait for a couple of seconds and then connect the Modem (wait for two minutes), then the Router (wait for two minutes), then the Freetalk Connect Me (wait for two minutes), then the Computer. (Please note it may take up to 10 minutes for the device to show up within your Network.)

Please ensure:
- your FREETALK Connect Me is wired to the same modem/router as the computer you are trying to set it up with.
- your firewall (computer and/or modem/router) is temporarily disabled while trying to find the device.
- you have a green steady light on the FREETALK Connect Me
- if on Windows 7/vista, you have 'Network Discovery' enabled
- if on Windows XP, the option 'Hide icons for networked UPnP devices' is disabled
- if on a MAC, you have your MAC computer wired to the same modem/router

If you already went over the above and are still with the same issue, kindly contact us via our support center so that we may help you further.

Please continue your communication with eBuyNow Support and they will do their best to solve the issue you are having.  Remember that you are covered under a 1 year warranty!

Best regards,

Re: Freetalk adapter - stop working

My unit workied for 4 days with the occational reset but overall not bad. It arrived with 1.0.5 firmware and never updated to 1.0.6 in the four days. Late on the 4 day the unit stopped working like described above. It is now in a loop of constant red for about a minute the blinking green for several minutes followed by constant red. I have contacted support and have not received an answer for days. I have tried the reset button several times with no change and several diffent routers. The routers assign an ip and the unit shows up correctly of a mac safari bonjour bookmark but it never can be accessed by the browser and says in the loop described. Seems like there is something it does not like about the ehternet connection. Anyone seen this or have any suggestions.
