Freetalk Home adapter Question

Hello,

I am interested in this item.

I am looking to connect my landline to this adapter, but I have a question. When I have an incoming landline call (not skype call), If I am signed into skype, will my skype ring also. i.e. can I pick up my landline call on skype?

This would be very useful as if I have this connected and am in another building with internet, I would like the ability to pick up my home calls via skype?

Thanks you

Rishi

Re: Freetalk Home adapter Question

Hey Thanks for your reply!

Unfortunately wasn't asking about call waiting feature...more was asking, with this adapter we can pick up our normal home phone to answer skype calls...but can we do it the other way i.e. using this adapter, pick up Normal Home phone calls on skype.

ie. If someone was to ring my home landline phone, then skype would ring?

You are very welcome. Glad to help.

No. The same phone can be used to make/receive calls on a landline and using Skype. The device does not re-route landline calls to Skype, minus the cost of the Skype Online Number.

Is there a cheap and easy way to reroute landline calls to skype?

Currently, the only way to do this would be to call forward your landline to a Skype Online Number. That price for that ability, would be based on your landline provider. There is/would not be any charge by Skype to receive those calls, minus the cost of the Skype Online Number.

Re: Freetalk Home adapter Question

I'm learning to hate skype and it's lack of email support. How the freaking hell do I order an phone adapter. It only gives me an option to buy a subscription; when I've already bought everything to include online numbers. This company is near as ugly as the phone companies.
