Dualphone 3088 no connection

Hi I have a dualphone 3088 that has worked well for more than a year, but since two weeks has no connections. The phone has a correct dynamic ip, both connected to my router or when I try with it direcly to my internet. I have tried resetting it many times, unplug it for 30 minutes etc. What can I do? Since I have no connection I can not update or downgrade my firmware. (atm 250) Best wishes Andreas

Have exactly same problem. Used Dual 3088 for more than a year successfully on Skype. Last week developed connection OK/no sound problem you describe. Hopeless dealing with Skype technical support ..."We are sorry to say but you will not be able to downgrade your Skype version on your Dualphone. We are aware of this problem and are working hard on fixing it as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause." My Dualphone 3088 is running the latest firmware 0250 27/08/09* Rel 8.

I've asked paolobianca1978 how can I download the Skype Version 5.0.0.156? How do I install that downgrade on the phone?

Just worked it out. Downloaded Dualphone 3088 Manual (.pdf) Instructions on how to select previous firmware download - current ver 250, selected 245. Took about 10-15 min to download. The phone HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER. No echo, much louder clearer audio - it's like a new phone - brilliant.

Same problem, but after almost 3 years. Dualphone Tec Support useless. Followed noodlum2's advice —downgraded to version 245, reset, and bingo! Thanks!

Hi everyone, I dont think that works as a solution for me.

I have no connection in my phone at all (also tried with different router etc) and therefore get a message "no connection to update server" when I press "firmware update".

I assume that is what you meant? I checked the pdf:http://dualphone.net/User_manual-795.aspx but connot find any other way to downgrade the firmware. Is it possible to downgrade without having a connection in the phone? Reset does not help.

Also, some of you post were very confusing. But thanks for trying!

I started experiencing the same issue yesterday. My phone says "Connecting", and yesterday retrieving a new IP address and reseting the base station briefly restored a connection, but as soon as I tried to access a voicemail, it dropped out again.

I've not been able to get it to connect at all today, and I'm also finding that I can't return to an older firmware version as I can't connect to the update server at all.

What's the latest on the intermittent connectivity issues for the dualphone 3088? Is the only solution to upgrade hardware? If so, any comments on best Voip providers and products?
