Recording Skype Calls and Video Calls

Skype doesn’t have a built-in feature to save calls and video calls.  Users who wish to record their audio or video conversations need to use a third party software, add-on or plugin in order to save a copy of their conversations.  Fortunately, there are now a number of programs available designed for that purpose.

WINDOWS 

For Windows users, I personally suggest Supertintin Skype Recorder.  So far, I think this recording software tops all other recorder in the Windows Skype recorders category (at least the ones I tested so far).  This recording software is lightweight, reliable, and produces consistent good recording quality.

Mac OS

For those who are using Mac OS, I think you can try either eCamm.   I also read good feedback from users who are using this recording software.

Skype users can also use Adobe Audition, Sony Sound Forge, Audacity, Camtasia, and similar programs to record audio calls.  But getting the proper settings could be a bit of a challenge for people who are not that tech savvy.

Note: Recording phone calls, which may include Skype audio and video calls, without the knowledge or permission of the other party/parties involved could be prohibited and/or illegal in some areas or countries. 

Users are advised to always inform the other party/parties that they are going to record their conversation, the purpose of recording the call, or where the recordings will be used or posted.

Try Audacity, many linux users use that recording software to record calls, but no idea about video call recording.

curious;  the spell check doesn't recognize the word "skype".

I have Applian's "Replay Telecorder for Skype"

However, the problem I have is the "#" on the keypad won't work during the call, so I cannot get my voice mail t activate when I call over Skype to my mobile phone.

And, I cannot find a place to submit a technical support issue:

I cannot find a place to submit a TECHNICAL SUPPORT ISSUE.  I have been billed almost 50-cents already just trying to call my voicemail on my mobile phone so I could listen to my voice mail (and record it) over Skype.
So far, the dial pad during the call does NOT WORK.  I cannot get it to recognize the "#" which is necessary to get into the voice mail.  And, nothing I clicked on the pad (which did make a tone I could hear) worked across the active phone line.
In short: I could make a call and my mobile phone answered with offer to let me leave a voice mail, but I could not get it to hear the "#" and let me into the prompts to replay my voice mail messages.

Thanks for your sharing, but I personally recommend AthTek Skype Recorder, which is by far the most convenient and powerful Skype recorder I have ever used. Have you ever used this tool?

it can only record audio calls, not a Skype audio and video recorder.

Are there any free to use programs that can be used to record audio calls? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
