How do I set my birthday to private?

If you click on Skype > Profile > Edit Your Profile, to the right of your birthday is a pull down that will let you change the privacy settings.

Or you could just delete the birthday.   Personally, I can't see why anyone would have their birthday entered in a Skype profile.

Hi - I am new to Skype and followed the suggestions for hiding my birthday. It did not allow me to delete the date not make it private. Suggestions please?

You can’t delete your birthday but you can replace it with empty data. Click on the dropdown arrow and select the empty list item. It is the one at the top of the list.
