I am a graphics designer, and for the last few weeks I have been unable to share my screen with anyone. I am running skype 5.8. My assosciates can share their screen with me as well as with each other. Before updating my skype I could use screenshare, but ever since I updated it, my screen share has been greyed out. I have re-installed several times, and I've gone through the troubleshooting tasks multiple times with no luck.. any thoughts?

With v5.8 you can still share your screen but not with your webcam video running. Turn off your webcam and you'll be able to share your screen.
A Premium account will allow screen sharing in 5.8 with webcam running.

I don't have any video running, it's just a 1-1 voice call. This is what stumps me :\

Also, instead of "share screen..." like my friends have, mine has "share screens..." Not sure if this extra "s" means I can't share because I don't have dual screens?

Well, I see "Share Screens" when I go to share from my laptop, but "Show Entire Screen" when starting sharing with my dual display desktop machine. Once I click on Show Entire Screen it gives me a choice to select which display to share, or which window within either display.
I have a Premium subscription but I also have a couple of test account that are not Premium. I just did a test and was able to share with version 5.8.0.154 on an audio only call.
Is Share Screens grayed out an non-functional when you're on an audio only call?
Is that status of the contact you're trying to share with Online? It's a known bug in 5.8 that you can't share screens with a conact who's status is Invisible.

You're upload speed is marginal for video. Your Premium subscription has allowed you to keep your webcam feed running while trying to share your screen and both video feeds at the same time may be too much for your upstream bandwidth..
To conserve upload bandwidth, I suggest you turn off your webcam before you try to share your screen, and if that works, turn your webcam back on when you're done sharing.
