Calling landline in France

Keep getting the message 'Currently can't call this number on skype'

But doesn't tell me why?

Any ideas gratefully received.

The number may be blocked by its' owner, or it may be a number that shares the cost of an incoming call with the caller, which Skype doesn't support.

If you're sure neither of those is the case, contact support via this email address with the specific phone number you're having trouble with:  pstn-feedback@skype.net

First, let me say that my suggestion was just that...a suggestion, not a request.   I point that out just to be sure you understand that this is a user-to-user forum and I'm just another user trying to offer a helpful suggestion now and then.

I suggest you give it a few more days to get a reply, especially now that the weekend is here.  Skype isn't famous for rapid responses to inquiries like yours.
