Download Error

each time i try to download the new version of Skype i keep getting a message saying "A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\Windows\Installer\Skype.msi" as well as a code 1602 error...i would liek to know what the problem is and i would also like to know if this problem is being taken care of...i had to download a much older obsolete version of Skype, Skype 3.0.0.218 from a site called oldapps.comwhich i'am NOT! happy with AT ALL!..mainly because my contacts are not in my lists anymore, please answer this in regards...thank you
