video calling with SAMSUNG galaxy ace

I have a SAMSUNG galaxy  ace GT S5830 but on  SKYPE SETTINGS there s no option to

activate video calling.

Is there a way to run video calls on this smartphone?

brother! m aslo facing the same problem that u have discussed about Samsung Galaxy Ace. I think video calling facility is not yet been available for GALAXY ACE. because the list available for new android sets (Having video calling capability on skpe )does not include Galaxy ACE. So rather we have to waite for some time or we have to buy samsung Galaxy tab to enjoy video calling experience at skpe..

Hi

I just checked the Samsung Galaxy Ace features and it shows there is no front camera on this model.

The Android Market (where you download Skype for Andriod platform phones) also has a list of currently supported phones for video calling.  Here is the current list of phones.

Hi!

Too bad that Samsung Ace is not on that list! It's a pretty new phone & I like it (i'm sure I'm not the only one!).

I just tryed yahoo messenger video call and it works very good even if doesn't have a front camera (it's true that I had to install a plug in for this feature, but that isn't such a big deal... easy & fast with android market app.).

I'm sure that skype team can provide (fast, i hope ^^) an update (for the soft or a plug in) so the video feature can be used on other phones (Samsung Ace included ).

So, dear Skype team, I'm (we're) waiting!
