Re: toshiba thrive

[ Edited ]

This is not a Thrive problem, all brands of tablets are having this problem, if they are on Android 3.1, the latest update to skype  (ver 2.6.0.95) has bugs

Green screen is caused by the latest Skype update (ver 2.6.0.95) Uninstall this version

Install  Skype version 2.5.0.160.

Do not update thrive to Android 3.2 it causes other Tablet problems (non Skype problems), see Tablet forums for more detail.

Re: toshiba thrive

uninstall your current version of skype.

go to

http://www.apktops.com/skype-2-5-0-160.html

to download the older version of skype.

this works with the thrive.

Re: toshiba thrive

ATTENTION THRIVE USERS...I was having the ” green screen” issue but found the solution! Uninstall your current skype app then go here: http ://www. apktops.com/skype-2-5-0-160.html (this is the 2.5.0.160 version) Go to the bottom of the page and install the app from the link under the bar code. Boom, you're in business! Spread the word until skype posts the update for thrive users.

Re: toshiba thrive

I know that this may be a very, very novice question, but how do you uninstall on the thrive? I just got mine and am sure frustrated with the Skype problem. Thanks!!!

1..You must set "SETTINGS >> Applications >> Unknown Sources, allow ..."

2..Just un-install the current Skype first (Settings >>Applications>> Manage Applications >>Tap the"Downloaded" tab >> scroll down to SKYPE, select it >> Uninstall)

3..Click on the link for the working version (2.5.0.160).

Go here: http://www.apktops.com/skype-2-5-0-160.html (this is the 2.5.0.160 version) Go to the bottom of the page and install the app from the link under the bar code. It should download and it should prompt you to install it.
